The Origin: A Love Letter to the Human Hand
Suthri — pronounced as /su:th-ree/.
Meaning beautiful in Haryanvi.
The Architect. Sahil spent a decade in the digital void—scaling dreams, building brands, and navigating the restlessness of the screen. He traded the algorithm for the artisan, wandering through the ancient production lanes of Delhi to learn a language he didn't yet speak: the language of fabric.
The Catalyst. The realization was simple: beauty without precision is a flaw. Trading wasn't enough; the soul was missing from the stitch. Then came Jaipur. Amidst the rhythmic thud of hand-carved wood meeting raw cotton, Sahil and Akansha found more than a craft—they found a calling.
The Collective. Born in February 2025, Suthri exists as a rebellion against the mechanical and the detached. We chose the difficult path: building from the soil up.
With Akansha’s instinctive eye for construction and Sahil’s operational grit, we assembled a collective of master printers and tailors who watch over every seam. Suthri is our manifesto on sustainability and human dignity—a brand where the artisan’s craft, dignity and artisanship & the garment’s soul are one and the same.
The Philosophy. We don't chase trends; we archive stories. Hand-cut, time-honored, and intentionally imperfect. Suthri is a love letter to the craft and a home for those who dress with a quiet, powerful intent.
